Building the Ledger for Low-Carbon Fuels

A few weeks ago, I wrote about the carbon accounting gap in sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and low-carbon liquid fuels (LCLFs).
If you missed it, the short version is: these fuels are critical for decarbonising aviation but the systems for tracking their emissions impact are lagging far behind.

That gap is what I’ve been working on.

I’ve started a new venture called ZerraLedger — a digital platform designed to make SAF and LCLF carbon tracking transparent, verifiable, and scalable.

Our aim is simple:

  • Capture the full emissions story from feedstock to fuel tank

  • Provide trustworthy, auditable data that meets global standards

  • Unlock the confidence needed for the market to scale responsibly

It’s early days, but the momentum in this space is real — from producers and airlines to regulators and investors. If we can give them the right tools, we can make sure every litre of SAF and LCLF counts, both in climate impact and market value.

If you’re in SAF, LCLFs, or carbon markets, I’d love to connect and explore how ZerraLedger might help.

This is just the start.
